a late afternoon spent down on the farm with my bible, backpack and camera. always the best of times. this particular afternoon, i had a MASSIVE revelation of how i need to be confident in christ and strengthened by him. this changed my whole view on life.

it all began on my trip home from america. that culture is so full of confidence. i felt like a gained something huge in me coming back from america.

this chapter was my favourite chapter when i got this revelation. joshua 1.

of course that is where the famous verse joshua 1:9 comes from

“have I not commanded you? be strong and courageous. do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go”

i think it’s time for kiwi girls to stand and claim confidence in who they are through christ. it makes me sad seeing someone lacking confidence in who they are. i was most definitely one of those girls. i am a great example of that and i will gladly share my story with you soon. i overcame that and it has given me character but i can confidently say i am a stronger woman now that i believe in what god can do in me.

so, be encouraged. be strong and courageous, for the lord our god is always with us! what’s your excuse? he’s for us not against us!
